Last weekend I met the beautiful Marissa down at Ipswich Marina. We had a really short photoshoot there – once again the weather let us down (never trust those weathermen!) – but we came away with a few really nice shots. Let’s hope we can have another session there again soon!

Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Lucy at Ipswich Marina. Lucy was a great sport – it was a typically drizzly winters day and not the usual sort of weather for outdoor photography! Here are three fashion photos taken at a scrapyard with a simply amazing collection of cars, gypsy caravans, steam engines…! An amazing place which I’d love to go back to sometime. Next week I have the chance to visit a different scrapyard – stay tuned for some more photos soon!

Recently I checked out Para Studio with Tink and Roxie. The studio is quite small but well equiped with an extensive range of backdrops – both coloured paper and materials. It also offers a number of other rooms as well as outdoor areas. A big plus is that it is quite an economical option compared to larger studios. A big thanks to both Roxie and Tink for posing for me!

I had the opportunity to shoot the lovely Katie Gee at a Jon Gray workshop in London last weekend and what a lovely and professional model she is to work with! Thanks Katie! A big thanks to Jia-Yan who helped me out try out my new ringflash in the studio last week. It’s going to take a lot of getting used to – in particular finding out what really works in conjunction with the ring-flash rather than just on it’s own. The main image used a large light panel close to Jia-Yan, supplemented with ringflash fill, whilst the two smaller images were made using diffused side-lighting and ring fill.
