Playing around with vintage effects….
by admin on Jun.19, 2010, under Family, Portraits

Finally got round to playing with some vintage style effects – changing the colour balance and over exposing, then applying a texture. Got chance to try out my new Wacom tablet – after spending most of the day trying to get it to work!

by admin on Feb.14, 2010, under Family, Portraits
A week or so back I was lucky enough to meet Lara, six days new to the world. A lovely, beautiful baby, occassionally awake, mostly asleep. Here are a small number of photos from her first photo session!

This year I had the privilege of photographing the pre-school group near Eye again. Last year we had 17 families – this year we squeezed 19 into a full and exciting day. What a lively and entertaining bunch they were! Once again thanks to Chris and Zoe for helping out – you superstars! Read more to see a few of my favourites from the day!

Back from holidays….
by admin on Aug.24, 2009, under Family, Portraits
Just back from a lovely three weeks in the South of Germany, visiting friends and family around Stuttgart before heading off to a small farmstead near Bamberg. Great fun for the family! Above is one of my favourite photos of Anna taken on holiday with an experimental treatment using duotones, click for a larger version!
An afternoon with baby Mei
by admin on May.29, 2009, under Family, Portraits
I was fortunate to meet the absolutely gorgeous Mei who is only three months old, recently. A lovely subject and a great chance to try out baby photography in the home. Mummy and Daddy were lovely too!
I am currently looking for other families with young babies to expand my baby portfolio, so do get in touch if you are interested!

Pre-school family photo marathon!
by Gavin on Nov.01, 2008, under Family, Miscellaneous
Well, with the brilliant help of Chris Hawes, I had the opportunity to shoot a local pre-school/toddler group. Initially, it was to be just the kids but soon blossomed to a total of 17 families and over 40 children in one day… phew! A wonderful opportunity that went well, and a big thanks to Zoe who helped organise, entertain and make us coffee. Here’s a brief taster of the day!

by Gavin on Jul.19, 2008, under Family
Andy and his family joined me in the studio for a quick session with the white backdrop and a drop of post-processing to make them high-key… here are three of my favorites from the shoot!
