This year the Kuk Sool Won European Championships were held in Kings Lynn on the 4/5th June 2010!
Congratulations to all who took part and especially to SBN Darren Brown and JKN Elaine Wickers for both their excellent hosting of the event and of course, winning the tournament as a school!

This year the 2009 Kuk Sool Won European Championships were held in Kings Lynn and I had the great opportunity to photograph a number of the events taking place, from the tournament in the day through to the promotions to black belt and masters demo in the evening.

A small selection of photos for the championships can be found at: http://aneyefordigital.com/galleries/ksw2009 and this includes a small number of promotions for both Ipswich, Mildenhall and London students. Please take a look through the ‘random’ selection and if you think you’ve been photographed (or may have been) then let me know!

Kuk Sool Won is a martial arts system of traditional Korean martial arts, drawing from Buddist, Royal Court and Tribal martial arts of Korea and combines hand striking, leg techniques, throwing and grappling, joint-locking, falling and acrobatics, animal style techniques and traditional Korean weapons. On Sunday I had PSBN John, KSN Leanne and JKN Danielle in the studio to get some photos for advertsing purposes. I liked this one quite a lot! Click to view a larger version.

This photo was taken at the training hall at Halifax School, Ipswich where the Ipswich Kuk Sool Won club have one of their main nights. After a bit of Photoshop intervention to even off the background, this promotional portrait was printed at a large size and presented to 3rd Degree Black Belt and club owner John Garrod.
