The weather held off just in time for the 2008 Ipswich Community Carnival! The day involved lots of rushing round but was lots of fun. A big thank you to Blue King for working her socks off and making it a great day enjoyed by many! Here are just a few photos to give you a taste of what it was like on the day!

Following the carnival design workshop Myra made this wonderful costume for an InsideOut performance and the carnival parade later in August. She let me take some photos on the stage at the St. Nicholas Centre in Ipswich, and I got to try out a new grid modifier that is successfully providing the light at the rear!

Kinetica came to help the Ipswich Community Carnival by running a two-day workshop on design and creation of the type of costumes, puppets and other creations commonly seen in Notting Hill Carnival and around the world. Here are a few ‘working’ shots!
